This huge and free event that celebrates American-made vehicles will be held on Nov. 12-13 at Westgate at Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue in Glendale.

There will be 2,500 Chevy only trucks on display from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12.

Then, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13 there will be 2,500 custom General Motors cars and trucks of all types.

Last year more than 25,000 people attended the two-day event.

In addition to the custom trucks – ranging from 1947 to 1998 models – there will be 90 manufacturer booths selling everything from chassis and brakes to air ride suspension kits and apparel – all targeted to GM enthusiasts.

The 11th annual event is the brainchild of Dino Battilana who owns numerous custom Chevy C10 trucks himself. Battilana started the Git Down in the parking lot of his appliance repair business. After a few years, the event grew into two-day affair at Westgate.

Battilana said:

“There is no admission fee, no truck entry fees and no awards given, just an opportunity for GM truck lovers to share their vehicles with the community. You will see similar trucks selling for $200,000 at car auctions.”

Dino’s Git Down, presented by Courtesy Chevrolet, LMC Truck and Switch Suspension, is the foremost truck show in the United States and offers a family friendly atmosphere.
