Art Intersection<\/a><\/strong> encourages creative individuals to take their work to the next level through programs and facilities in which they learn, create, and exhibit. Three galleries showcase art from emerging and established artists and a workplace is available for individuals to create their own art.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, July 24th <\/strong>and Sunday, July 25th<\/strong> there will be a two-day workshop students will learn the art of photopolymer gravure printing<\/strong>. Using light-sensitive steel-backed Solarplates, participants will create 4\u2033 x 5\u2033 and 6\u2033 x 8\u2033 gravure etching prints from their photographs. This environmentally friendly process translates photographic detail into ink on paper with unparalleled beauty.<\/p>\n

No prior experience with printmaking is required.<\/strong> All necessary aspects of printmaking will be discussed including choosing inks, papers, and wiping material. Wiping and inking techniques will be covered. Be prepared to marvel at the way your photograph is transformed through ink on paper.<\/p>\n
