Celebrate D\u00eda del Ni\u00f1o (Mexico’s Children’s Day)<\/strong><\/span> at the Heard Museum<\/a><\/strong>! Tony Duncan<\/a><\/strong>, a five-time World Champion Hoop Dancer will appear and perform music, dance and storytelling with his family members.<\/p>\n

Ron Carlos<\/span><\/strong> will perform live music and share his traditional ceramic works.<\/p>\n

While you\u2019re there, explore the current exhibitions: “All at Once: The Gift of Navajo Weaving”<\/a><\/strong> which showcases 46 exquisite textiles from contemporary Navajo weavers; “Leon Polk Smith: Hiding in Plain Sight”<\/a><\/strong> featuring more than 40 works spanning seven decades of Leon Polk Smith’s legendary career and “Through the Lens of Barry Goldwater”<\/a><\/strong> which features prints made from Arizona Senator Barry M. Goldwater\u2019s spectacular color slide collection (it includes some of the earliest color landscape photographs of the Navajo and Hopi tribal lands, the state of Arizona, and geographical areas that have long disappeared since the creation of Lake Powell).<\/p>\n

The first 100 kids (17 and under) will receive a free art poster! First come, first served- while supplies last. Poster pick-up will be in Books & More.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
