The 10th annual Rockin’ Taco Street Fest returns to downtown Chandler Saturday, September 25th from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The taco party of the season features more than 20 local restaurants and food trucks including Tapas AL Gusto, Los Sombreros and Salsa Bites.

Taco offering styles will vary from classic Mexican cooking to modern and southwestern spins on the most delicious and portable of all the meals – TACOS. Varieties include chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, veggie, dessert and more. Each taco booth or truck will offer at least one taco priced at $2 as well as other pricing options.

Other food options include elote, churros, frescas, horchata, lemonade, kettle corn, snow cones, ice cream and more. Be sure to bring your appetite for the taco, burrito and elote eating competitions!

It all started in a Chandler parking lot. Eight years ago, a Mexican Independence Day Fiesta was born. With a focus on creating a fun and flavorful cultural celebration for loyal guests of the now closed, El Palacio Restaurant & Cantina of Chandler, the festival drew just over 200 guests out for tacos, entertainment and good times. In the three years that followed, the event grew in leaps and bounds, the name changed to Rockin’ Taco Street Fest – the public had spoken: more tacos, more beer, more fun times.
In addition to some incredible eats, people will enjoy live music, eating competitions, mechanical Rockin’ Taco ride, Luche Libre wrestling matches, and much more.
Entertainment will include World’s first and only heavy metal mariachi band” – Metalachi and acrobatic high flying and fast paced masked wrestlers “Luchadores”!

The family friendly event at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park, located at 178 E. Commonwealth Ave., is a cultural celebration that boasts loyal taco enthusiasts from all over the Valley.
