About an hour by car from Phoenix, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Scottsdale, Tempe, and Glendale, Boyce Thompson Arboretum Wallace Desert Garden brings together plants from many deserts and arid lands and displays them alongside unspoiled examples of native Sonoran Desert vegetation – all within a spectacular natural setting.
If you love birds and birdwatching visit Boyce Thompson Arboretum to join guided bird walks. Suitable for beginners and if you don’t have binoculars don’t worry because loaner binoculars will be available.
Space is very limited, pre-registration required! Registration does not include admission into the arboretum.
Wear comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes and don’t forget water, a hat and sunscreen.
